Profile we are looking for
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with proven experience in designing and deploying data pipelines, data modeling, and process orchestration. However, we are also open to mid-level candidates with at least 3 to 4 years of experience in similar projects and a solid technical foundation. We’re looking for someone with autonomy, sound judgment, and a strong desire to grow technically and professionally as part of a collaborative and growing team.

Data Engineer with knowledge in data modeling, ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Analytics.
Focused on data flows, ETL pipelines, and process orchestration.
Knowledge of ETL tools like Apache Airflow, Dagster, Azure, GCP, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, and code-versioned data pipelines is valued; familiarity with tools like Apache Nifi is a plus.

Responsibilities

_ Design efficient ETL pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data for analytics from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, or RPAs.
_ Design data models and Data Warehouses for data analytics and consolidation.
_ Work closely with clients to understand their business and how to add value through data.

Knowledge
_ Data Engineering, Data Modeling, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
_ Data Warehousing and Data Analytics
_ Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin or ER/Studio
_ Experience with Data Warehousing concepts like star schema, snowflake schema, etc.
_ Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
_ Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fields.

Candidates must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of cloud computing, big data, or machine learning is a plus.

Methodologies
_ We use a flexible Kanban adapted with Scrum, maintaining a contained backlog planned per project.
_ We apply TDD for algorithm and critical feature development, and CI/CD for rapid validation and deployment of changes to production environments.
_ We practice pair programming and hold regular design and structure meetings to define and agree on logical blocks.
_ We use Git for version control, project management tools like Taiga.io and Jira, and client interaction.
_ Graphic prototyping is done with our design and analysis team alongside the client, using tools like Invision.

Work profile
_ Full-time position (40 h/week) with a permanent contract.

_ Flexible schedule allowing weekly hour management, e.g., leaving early on Fridays, work-life balance, or accommodating courses.

Physical presence / remote
_ The position is hybrid, with 3 days remote, so we are looking for someone based in the Valencia area.
